One of the best sushi places in MA. Definitely worth visiting. Great service, amazing food.

Excellent sushi for dinner in or take out. Very easy to have a conversation over dinner and excellent service.

This owner gets the best quality of fish , hands down. The lowest quality of Tuna and Salmon served here is equivalent to the best quality you will find in most sushi restaurants I have visited in New England. It's small and intimate so you may have a wait. The quality is worth waiting for.

Great food, great service, peaceful and pleasant.

Hands down the best plate of sushi I've had ever. I'll grant you my experence is limited but there is no doubt in my mind that the food here is yummy and an excellent value for the price.

Wanokura is simply great, quite environment with delicious food. I highly recommend this place for a Friday night date with the loved one. Hah!

The best sushi in the area by far. The nigiri is so fresh and delicious and the sweet potato maki is easily the best I've ever had. If your a sushi fan you have to visit this restaurant.

The food is good and worth the visit. But I feel like there are other things going on that detract from that. The table service is good and the Servers both helpful and friendly, but both the pace and order at which your food arrives is arbitrary at best. On more than one occasion, my appetizer has arrived not only after my entree but also while my family is eating dessert. I also find that cosmetically the place is in decline. The signage outside has had paint peeling off now for a long time, and the laminated spiral-bound menus are well past their prime. Like I said though, the food is good and this is still the best (but perhaps only) real sushi option in the area. But the place needs some attention to get it to 4 or 5 stars.

Wanokura is our favorite sushi restaurant. The fish is always fresh. We love to sit at the low tables with the sunken floor. The waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. If you're a sushi lover then this is the place to go.

Best sushi in the Northeast. Very friendly place.

Absolutely delicious! The service here is awesome, and the food is really stellar. I love the crazy maki and the beef teriyaki - they're always great!

The sushi rolls have a lot of rice and small amount of small food ... the quality is very good ... but not the sushi heaven if you are a big sushi lover

The food and service were great. They even have cool traditional tables, if you take your shoes off.

My girlfriend and I have eaten at many sushi places over the years, but we are extremely fortunate that the best one is only a few minutes down the road. Wanokura is always excellent quality and the atmosphere is calm and pleasant. We compare all sushi to Wanokura. Try the Patriots and Amy Maki!

Lovely local sushi place. Very fresh!

Love this place. Beautiful maki rolls. Great service. The place is absolutely spotlessly clean. My one suggestion would be to get a new sign on the outside of the building. It's starting to peel and belies the immaculate interior.

Great sushi great price definitely a hidden gem

The food was very good but with every upside there was a down side. The sushi rolls were overloaded with rice and skimpy on the fish on 2 of the rolls we ordered but the 3rd roll was one the best sushi roll we ever had. The nigiri had a chef's touch to it which was a nice compliment. The udon soup was good but not at the price of 13$. And the bathrooms were disgusting. The wait staff is very friendly.

A local gem. A lovely, quiet atmosphere with amazing sushi. Always worth the wait.

Food was good but service was a bit slow. Will try again to see if the slow service was a symptom of that particular evening.

Went there because of the 4.7 review but not really sure where that came from. Tea was like warm, sushi was ok and the rolls had too much rice and cut too big. Atmosphere is nice and we sat in the floor table so that was different. Overall not my favorite for sure.

Cozy Japanese restaurant with a large sushi menu. A little pricey but good quality.

I am very picky about food quality, the fish freshness and the rice application of sushi. Outstanding is all I have to say about Wanokura. I also was impress with how the wait staff worked together to get our drinks. It helps us get our younger child something to do. Both quality of food, and friendliness of staff was very appreciated. Thank you for a wonder time Wanokura, it was a pleasant time.

Great food tonight. Scorpion maki is amazing.

Best sushi we have had anywhere! My wife and I have been going there since we first started dating over 5 years ago, since then we've had sushi in various restaurants in Boston, NYC, and Tampa, as well as local restaurants, and honestly we have not found sushi as good as this place! Highly recommend it!

Good place to go at work in Milford. Chefs and staff are nice. Food is awesome. You have to try their sushi and eel entree. So good.

Been here quite a number of times over the last few years. They have never disappointed.

Always fresh and delicious. Black scorpion maki is great.
Brett Thibault
The makimono is fresh and tasty, the prices reasonable, and our waiter was attentive and efficient. One of the most pleasurable dining experiences I've had this year.

Wonderful hidden gem in Milford that I've been going to for over a decade. The people that work there are fantastic, the food is delicious, and the interior design is quaint and calming. A beautiful place to dine. Staff can be a little diffident at times, but overall they work really hard to make sure you get exactly what you want. Ice cream is amazing too - black sesame, green tea, and red bean varietals. And don't forget to check the sushi bar!

Nice atmosphere, great sake, huge dishes, yummy food!

Great food, warm and inviting, service a little slow at times but we don't mind!
Marc Schaen
Best sushi ever, always the freshest and the atmosphere is very friendly.

The atmosphere inside is definitely a unique concept for a sushi restaurant. I however have had better rolls from here then what I got tonight. Not sure if the sushi chefs were different than last time. But there were scallions in my maki rolls that wasn't indicated on the menu, it totally ruined the taste. I also asked for tempura to be added to my rolls and it was stale and just thrown on top of the rolls. I couldn't even finish my meal which considering how much a roll is at almost 7 dollars should say something. Quality of the food is usually better than this. I'm very disappointed.

Hands down the best sushi I have ever found. I'm a big sushi guy and I've tried all the spots in Natick, Marlborough, plenty in Boston and even Providence. I have yet to encounter sushi on the level of Wanokura. The fish is always of the highest quality, rice is perfectly soft, and the service is generally on point.

Best and most authentic Japanese cuisine in the area
